| National Crimebeat National Crimebeat is a charity of the Association of High Sheriffs of England and Wales (The Shrievalty Association). It encourages young people to get involved with crime reduction activities and to create safer communities. For more than 1,000 years High Sheriffs in England and Wales have had a responsibility for upholding law and order. Today they work closely with police, probation, local authorities, education and other agencies to show how young people care for their communities. This is done through the network of local Crimebeat schemes, which High Sheriffs have set up in their counties. Each local Crimebeat scheme then supports groups of young people to develop their ideas and turn them into successful projects. The Annual National Crimebeat AwardsEach year High Sheriffs submit the best example they have found of young people working to create safer communities, to the National Crimebeat Awards.
