2008 Lady High Sheriffs' Luncheon
Thursday 16th October 2008
Mrs Gay Hartley MBE DL (High Sheriff of West Yorkshire 2007) will host the 2008 Lady High Sheriffs' Luncheon at her home in Leeds on Thursday 16th October 2008. Details and an Application form will be sent High Sheriffs for 2008 and to those in Nomination for either 2009 or 2010. Attendees will be asked to arrive by 12 noon for lunch at 1pm.

37th Annual General Meeting and Luncheon
Wednesday 5th November 2008
The Association's 37th AGM and Luncheon will be held at The Drapers' Hall,Throgmorton Street, London EC2N 2DQ on Wednesday 5th November 2008.The Agenda and Papers for the AGM and an Application Form for the Luncheon will be sent to all Members of the Association in mid-September 2008.

The Nomination of High Sheriffs for 2009
Wednesday 12th November 2008
The Ceremony of the Nomination of High Sheriffs for 2009 will take place on Wednesday 12th November 2008 in Court 4 (The Lord Chief Justice's Court) at The Royal Courts of Justice, Strand, London WC2A 2LL at the customary time of 2pm. At this Ceremony the names of those Nominated for the Office of High Sheriff for the years 2009, 2010 and 2011 will be read out in Court.

Following the Court Ceremony, the Association intends to hold a 'Tea Party' between 3pm and 5pm in a nearby location for all those attending.The Secretary will be writing in late September/early October to all High Sheriffs In Nomination for either 2009 or for 2010 inviting them to attend.This function is intended to provide an opportunity for nominees to meet with their contemporaries and thus begin to make useful contacts for the future, as is the Seminar at Burghley.to make useful contacts for the future.
