Voluntary Sector Support

Crimebeat North Wales (www.crimebeatnorthwales.co.uk) helps young people develop projects which make their communities a safer place to live. Providing small grants to community-led proposals, Crimebeat supports young people to develop projects that aim to:

* Cut local crime and keep young people pout of trouble
* Provide support to victims of crime
* Stimulate an interest in voluntary work
* Improve school attendance and behaviour
* Improve the quality of life in your community

Blind Veterans UK’s new £12 million state of the art Rehabilitation and Training Centre in Llandudno, North Wales, finally opened its doors today to begin providing first class help and support to blind and visually impaired ex-Service men and women. The Centre will serve the whole of the UK, but especially blind and visually impaired veterans across Wales and North West England. For more information: www.blindveterans.org.uk

St Kentigern’s Hospice ( has cared for more than 5,000 patients and their families over the last 15 years. As the hospice receives only 18.5% funding, it relies on donations and local community support to raise the vital funds needed to keep the hospice open.
